When getting a tattoo, remember to look after it. Keep it clean, dont pick it and dont go weight training when there are scabs all over it, as it will pull the scabs apart and remove the ink.
Another word of warning. After weight training and ruining your tattoo, dont go back to the tattooist and get stroppy about how its turned out.
Seriously, people. One of my best black and grey pieces (no photo on here though) ruined totally >.> all that time and for what? And he expexts me to fix it all up great again. I will, but only because I dont want him telling people that I messed it up.
So just remember. Tattoos need care until they are healed. Pull the scabs apart and you will be left with an ugly, patchy tattoo.
Beware

It's a customer job... you'll always get some lousy ones. It's just how it is. On the other hand, I'm sure the majority of people appreciate what you do and care for their tattoos :)
Heck, I'd let ya do my project if I actully had the money to carry it out hehe
Its a pain in the behind though >.> And it was a friend so I did it for nothing!
:)
hey dont fret about it everyone knows that after you do the tat its up too the client to take care of it i had it happen to me a few times and i just tell em hey its your fault take care of it

Ive started charging a flat fee (friends too) for touch-ups.
I KNOW when someone has picked or scratched a scab off, as do you.
If its down to me though, it IS free....but if its down to them, they have to pay the flat fee.
I have noticed that serial pickers ARE taking more care with their tattoos now that they have to pay if they pick!

I'm in the habit of foning customers a week after doing the tattoo for them, just to check if they have enough Aftercare Balm and generally to see if their tats are healing well and to listen to any queries they might have...oh...and talk them into the next tat :)

lol hes such a silly lil tittysprinkle aint he :-) cant belive he complained to u about it tho as tho its ur fault..he might as well have used a handfull of rusty nails to scratch the itches, washed it with cloudy tramps piss, then used his ballbag to dry it....cant beat arons aftercare method tho...hahaha anyways thank u soo much for doing my sleeve,i really apreciate it ya kno,tis looking rather shpadoinkle:-) ill do ur mushrooms when my certificate arives
thats exactly my thoughts...still annoying though
Thats a good idea...charging for touch ups when you can tell they have been messed with...
Obviously, if its my fault (and it happens to everyone, even "great" tattooists) then I am only happy to fix it for nothing.
Thanks!
:w00t: for mushrooms!
